About Developing Atlanta

Core Purpose & Mission

Our core purpose is to bring the residential development community together to achieve smart growth.

Our mission is to provide real estate brokers with web based technology for their agents containing a variety of powerful tools built specifically for residential development. Developing Atlanta aims to provide brokers their agents with easy to use tools that are custom built to meet their needs.  Our bundled services will provide a “one stop shop” for important information and due diligence material for residential development. Our tools will focus on helping real estate agents market and sell their residential teardown, vacant lot and developed lot listings by providing buyers the most up to date, detailed information about their listings.

In the past, most residential development took place on the outskirts of cities on large vacant tracts of land. However, as cities grow larger and commutes grow longer, a strong demand for in-town living is bringing a wave of redevelopment back to cities. The surge of in-town development has caused agents who normally deal with typical house sales to become involved in re-development projects in their area. Enter Developing Atlanta.

Our goal is to provide an easy to use web site with all the active land listings in urban areas.

Company Background

A few years back while working on a residential re-development project as a listing agent Giles ran into a problem.  He quickly realized the scarcity of resources for residential development available to the average agent. He also discovered first hand how difficult and time-consuming it was to find the necessary information that was important to market the listing. Recognizing a clear need in the market, Giles started doing consulting work for other agents using the research system and analysis tools he had developed along the way.  Through his consulting work, the true concept of Developing Atlanta was born and Giles began creating a web-based service for this increasing niche market.

Value Proposition:

DevelopingAtlanta.com will help listing agents of land in the following ways:

  • Our website is fully searchable by Google and Yahoo so your land listing gets found when someone types your name or other keywords on your page.
  • We help agents save time by compiling all due diligence materials a buyer might want.
  • By outsourcing the gathering of due diligence material to some one who specializes solely on that task, the chances of listing agents making a mistake (such as availability of sewer, zoning classification) are greatly reduced.
  • By providing these materials to buyers, you greatly reduce the chances that they will make mistakes during their due diligence periods that often result in costly delays and failed closings.
  • Help less experienced agents have the confidence to take on larger land listings.
  • Decrease timeline for closing by providing buyers due diligence materials up front.
  • Help unrealistic sellers reduce their pricing by directly comparing their properties to similar land listings on our website.
  • Gain greater exposure for your client’s listings because we do the networking and targeted marketing to the builders and developers for you.
  • We provide our agents with easy to use site monitoring so they can track the effectiveness of their marketing as well as ours.
  • We can also provide direct domain forwarding to your webpage.  For example: www.123Mainstreet.com for your property at that address as well as a 6inch X 3 foot yard sign.
