In A Down Market Like This, Cash Is King…

I know this is a bit off topic but I cant help but say great things about managing your cash using Bank of America’s My Portfolio thing-a-ma-bobber they just rolled out… It allows you to pull in all of your various accounts like 401k’s, Roth IRA’s, investment accounts, and liabilities like credit cards, mortgages, and car payments.  It even lets you pull in your house value in real time using Zillow!

How can any of us expect to be the next real estate mogul, when you don’t even realize you spend 10% of your money on Starbucks and 15% attending Crazy real estate seminars like Brad and Matt’s  ReTech South!!

I don’t know if I would recommend you changing banks just for this feature but if you have Bofa and haven’t checked out the My Portfolio tab, you’re missing out.  I am wondering how long it will be before a loan officer at Bofa says to someone “While your credit score is 10 points below what we would like to see because of these 30 day late payments,  your My Portfolio shows you have a $275,000 in other assets.  Let me talk with my manager and we can probably get this loan approved.”
