April project

Construction is expected to begin in April on a $42 million mixed-use project in Brookhaven. Dan Woodley Communities Inc. plans to begin the third phase, called Brookhaven Village, of its $340 million development off Dresden Drive.

Brookhaven Village, on 5 acres, will have two townhouses, a single-family home and 49 condominiums, said Dan Woodley, principal. The project, at 1448 Dresden Drive, also calls for 40,000 square feet of retail space along the ground level of the condos and 22,000 square feet of office condo space, he said.

The townhouses will be priced in the mid-$700,000s and the condos will sell for between $240,000 and the $800,000s, Woodley said.

Phase 1 and 2 of the projects were Brookhaven Estates and Brookhaven Park, Woodley said.

The first condos should be available in first quarter 2007, he said.

Please send me info on Village Place Brookhaven, both retail space and residential space available.

    Thank you

    First quarter 2007?

It’s still a dirt lot! So far it’s an eyesore …

  3. Embarrassed Says:

I am so embarrassed to be living in the community adjacent to the travesty that is “Brookhaven Village.”

For over two years I’ve had to endure the dirt and chainlink fence. Today I saw FOUR people working on the buildings that were finally erected.

My assumption is that the developer has once again run out of funds.

When can we have our community back?

I promise that I will fight any further development in this neighborhood by Dan Woodley.

  4. Anxious Says:

Really hoping this will be finished. Would love updates to Brookhaven LCI website too.

This will be nice when finished, particularly with the other area construction planned. Just hope I dont die before I can enjoy this…..

So far this has been embarrassing. It’s nearly 08 and they aren’t 50% complete. Meanwhile the so-called condos have languished through the summer in the heat and rain without roofs over them. You can see the mold and mildew from the road. The other day a crew began to wrap the exterior with the plastic wrap and finish the roof with the noticeable black mildew all over the particle board. I would not live in one of these boxes of crap if you gave it to me. I foresee all of the residential wooden structures being problematic in the future.
