“Don’t Get stuck with the Big Chicken…”

|

December 5, 2007

I was recently looking over at Brad Nix’s blog over at Maxsell Real Estate and it brought back a few great memories of growing up in Alabama.  Huh?  Let me explain,  My dad has and will probably always love to buy and sell real estate.  So when I was looking at Brad’s fancy new web video promoting his I-575 real estate business it had the now very famous “Big Chicken” flash on the screen.

Which brings me back to the title of this post… “Don’t get stuck with the Big Chicken”.  What my dad meant when he used to always say that to me was, you don’t want to buy a property that always has to be one thing.  This description could range from big restaurants with built in’s to just about any type of real estate. Ever wonder why you see a Captain D’s close and then see four more restaurants come and go?  They didnt follow the “Big Chicken Rule” haha!!  So to this day I still follow that advise as I think it is for the most part sound.  So in conclusion…Caveat emptor because if you buy a “Big Chicken” You will probably get exactly that!
